Lusso joined forces with its client Womble Bond Dickinson to host a charity gala dinner for 110 people that raised an incredible £20,000 for The Princes Trust.
The dinner was in support of Womble Bond Dickinson Facilities Director, Jason Cousins, who is taking on the world marathon challenge for the worthy cause, running seven marathons on seven continents in seven days, with a target of raising at least £80,000.
Jason will visit Novo Antarctica; Cape Town, Africa; Perth, Australia; Dubai, Asia; Lisbon, Europe; Cartagena, South America and Miami, North America, running a total of 183 miles to join only 210 people in the world to have ever completed the endurance challenge.
Lusso, which is sponsoring the Colombia leg of the challenge, sponsored the food and service for the gala dinner. The superb menu was prepared by a brigade of volunteer chefs from across Lusso’s units, overseen by its executive chef development team. Lusso’s operations team and unit managers, headed by Operations manager, Simone Santeramo, also donated their time and hospitality skills to serve dinner to Jason’s guests.
Not shy of a challenge themselves, the Lusso chefs expertly prepared the three-course menu off site, as there is not a kitchen at the Womble Bond Dickinson venue, transporting it in and adding the finishing touches in a temporary kitchen set up in a meeting room.
The Lusso team wishes Jason the very best of luck for his world marathon challenge!
